Mr Ed comes from Mammoth WVH's debut, on which Wolfgang Van Halen played every instrument himself. The solo carries an unmistakable family resemblance, with tapped runs and whammy flourishes that nod to his father, but it is rooted in a more modern, riff-driven hard rock. Wolfgang keeps the lead tight and song-focused, fitting it neatly into the arrangement instead of letting it sprawl. His EVH Wolfgang tone is saturated and punchy, with a crisp top end.
